Spirits on Sproat schedule & directions

Love classic monsters from the movies, TV, literature, and pop culture? Come visit Spirits on Sproat, celebrating our biggest season yet this year. In 2023, we'll be open 21 nights (weather permitting) and we're adding many new creatures and features designed to give you nightmares, as well as all the old favorites we've put on display since 2004. And, as is true every year, we're still home to the most terrifying live Michael Myers you've ever encountered (rest assured he won't scare little ones or seniors).

This popular home haunt showcases nearly 120 characters—most being custom-made replicas of your favorite scary movie creatures and horror icons—plus several originals. Enjoy humorous museum-like signage describing each character, creepy horror movie music mixed with sound effects, live scarers, two fun "find the monster" scavenger hunt games, front window music-and-lights show, and more. Check out Spirits on Sproat, which was named to the Horror Tourers Hall of Fame and featured twice on Svengoolie's TV program!

NOTE:
  • Property is monitored 24/7 via several video cameras and protected by a security system.
  • Display is family-friendly but recommended for ages 6 and up. All kids 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Note that our live scarers will not frighten little ones or seniors.
  • All dates and times are subject to change without notice due to inclement weather and unexpected circumstances.
  • Please do not run into the street, be respectful of our neighbors by not blocking driveways and keeping your voice at a moderate volume, drive slowly and park carefully on our block, and do not touch any of our figures or props.
  • We appreciate your generous donations (donation bins can be found in the front and the back), which keep Spirits on Sproat alive (and undead); 100% of funds collected are put back into our display.
Driving directions: Our haunt is located in Oak Lawn, Illinois, just north of the intersection of 91st Street and Sproat Avenue (on the west side of the street in the middle of the block on Sproat), 4 blocks west of Cicero and 4 blocks north of 95th St. Click here for Google Maps directions.
